WASH DAY

Aug. 23, 2010---Sooner or later it has to be done. Laundry that is! Spent time in downtown Beaver, the town next to Bridgewater. Enjoyed lunch and some shopping.

Found the local bakery. What a stroke of good luck! They had a carrot cake and some fine cookies to please the palate.

They have been in business for 50 years. That means lots of practice. No wonder the locals recommended this establishment.

Well recognized in the neighborhood and they were plenty busy.

Family owned real estate business has survived over 100 years.

Four generations is outstanding.

Some items in a store window.

Sometimes as we walk around in these communities it is hard to realize just how old they really are.

So glad you're enjoying the Beaver valley. It's that "One Particular Harbor" for me!

Tinitique restaurant is another must stop for great food.....
(pronounced Tiny Teak) It's on the RDB of the Beaver just before Bridge St.
