YOUNGSVILLE MARDI GRAS

Feb. 13, 2010---Youngsville Mardi Gras parade.

Lots of people and vehicles in the street before the parade got underway.

Crystal & Tom got some water and snacks to keep us going strong.

Several floats celebrated the Saints Super Bowel victory.

Picture of Saints quarter back Drew Brees on the back of this float.

Someone sure had fun decorating this deer with beads.

Various photos of Carol and Crystal. They entertained as the floats passed by.

Notice the basket at Carol's feet on the right is full of beads! It was a great parade with lots of floats throwing an abundance of beads to entertain the spectators.

PREJEAN'S

Jan. 26, 2010---Prejean's was selected as the resturant of choice for a fine meal with the local "cajun" flavors. Located on the north side of Lafayette, LA along I-49 it is a popular place. The first thing you see on entry is a very large alligator. Notice it is well decorated with Mardi Gras colors.

Keith & Maryann were all smiles as they relaxed after dinner.

CYPREMORT POINT

Jan 25, 2010---What happened to 2009????

Keith & Maryann entertained their good friends from Sardis, MS with a drive to Cypremort Point State Park. The park is located on a peninsula that extends into Vermilion Bay. There is a public boat dock widely used by folks from all around the Lafayette area. This access to the bay is a common route for fishermen to reach the Gulf of Mexico about 10 miles from the point.

New bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway which allows much easier access to Cypremort Point.

A contrast of old and new structures. Many of the camps had to be rebuilt after hurricane Rita.
