RETURN LA

Aug. 7, 2009---The days have passed quickly! The guests packed their belongings in preparation for their return to Louisiana. Picture on the left shows Clint left, Ty middle and Chris on the right. They were joined by Carol as she too is returning to LA.

Chris won the coin toss to see who got to drive. He was excited to have the opportunity! Upon departure they waved goodbye from the Yukon. We are going to miss them as the young boys had brought a lot of energy to the boat. Carol said later that Chris drove all the way. The trip took 10 hours.
Just about the time they reached Youngsville, LA I started driving the rental car toward Nashville. Keith and Maryann stayed on the boat to make preparations for our new guests. It is 135 miles from Chattanooga to Nashville. The traffic was heavy and construction work on I-24 in Nashville made it a real challenge. I arrived at the BNA International Airport at 11:00 p.m. central time. It was a short wait when Dan & Anna Kluver came down the escalator to baggage claims. They had driven from their home in Gillette, WY to Denver, CO and flew from there to Nashville. It was great to see them. Dan is Carol's nephew. We arrived at the boat in Chattannoga about 3:00 a.m. Eastern time. Exhaustion was the word and bed was on our minds. I gave them a quick introduction to the cuddy and shotly after it was lights out.
