MCFARLAND PARK

Aug. 15, 2009---Maryann explored the area on her morning walk.

Pickwick Belle is a paddle boat harbored in the Florence Marina. The fine looking boat is ready to haul passengers on sight seeing cruises.

The Marina is considered a part of McFarland Park. There are playgrounds, lighted walking trails, a floating restaurant, a lighthouse, and a beach area.

Tennessee River looks calm past the pier.

Looking above and past the marina a bridge can be seen. That highway with many numbers (43, 72, 2, 13, 17, 20, 157) joins Florence with the towns of Sheffield, Muscle Shoals and Tuscumbia.

The floating restaurant serves good food.

At night the bright, rotating light is very easy to see marking the inlet to the marina.
