  July 8, 2010---Did not start out very early today. Departed Midway Marina about 10:00 a.m. Three locks today in 13.5 mile distance. Rankin lock at 398.4 had a 30' lift, Montgomery lock at 406.7 also had a 30' lift.
Arrived at Whitten Lock mile 411.9 and found a tow waiting to go up. Commercial traffic is always the priority. Took a little over 2 hours for that tow to be lifted up and a small tow with a pleasure craft to come down before it was our turn. After the lock it was easy traveling to Aqua Yacht Harbor marina at mile 448.2. It took 8.4 hours to go 59 miles.
