CRESENT BEND

July 7, 2009---Visited the Crescent House situated on a hill overlooking the Tennessee River.
This house was built in 1834 by Drury Paine Armstrong. The English silver collection dates from 1610 to 1830. It is a most amazing collection.

Many stairs lead down to the various garden levels. Landscaping is quite spectacular and the lady who gave us the introduction to the house said they are frequently booked for weddings.

Viewing the Tennessee River through one of the many windows is a wonderful sight.
