BAY HILL MARINA

Aug. 1, 2012---Made 47 miles today in 5.4 hours. Turned starboard to Bay Hill Marina at mile 287.
Roy & Elvie Short caught lines and helped get Dream Manor secured to the dock. We enjoyed a good visit and got reacquainted having met these folks in 2009 at Pebble Isle Marina. They loaned their car to us for a trip into Rogersville, Alabama (about 10 miles) to have dinner. Turn up your sound to hear Allen's brief comments on the two videos about the Southern Railroad Bridge. This bridge is located at mile 304.4 on the Tennessee River near Decatur, Alabama. Normal clearance is about 10 feet above water level. It has to be raised for most boats to pass underneath.

Approaching Bay Hill Marina. The inlet is well protected by
secured barges.

Love the hum of those diesels pushing Dream Manor effortlessly down river.
