Aug. 19, 2013---What a beautiful day on the Tennessee River! Slowly maneuvered out of Paris Landing Marina at 10:10 a.m. This marina is at mile 66. Going down stream the mile markers are counting down. Crossed into state of Kentucky at mile 49. Continued to Kentucky Dam Marina at mile 23. Made a total of 43 miles today in 5 hours. Kentucky Dam Marina is located about 4 miles up river from Gilbertsville, KY.

Coast Guard has a base of operations at Paris Landing.
One tow departed with red buoys to set in place. |

Departing Paris Landing. Past the sea wall highway 76/79 is
on the right. |

Traveling parallel to highway. Bridge crosses over
Tennessee River. Upon reaching the river channel, will
turn to port which will be down river to the north. |
