RAMSEY HOUSE
July 7, 2009---This house was completed in 1797 by Knoxville's first builder, Thomas Hope. It was built for Colonel Francis Alexander Ramsey, a pioneer settler of Knoxville. This Georgian style house is constructed of local limestone and marble. It is the first house of it's kind built in the area.
