Waited for fog to clear before leaving

 Aug. 7, 2012---Wonderful day to travel. Really enjoyed the constantly changing reflections on the water. Made 54.2 miles in 6.5 hours. Three locks today: Whitten (84'), Montgomery (30'), Rankin (30'). Total elevation change 144'. Arrived Midway Marina at 3:00p.m., mile 394. Had an early dinner and brief shopping spree at Walmart. Returned courtesy van to the marina. Enjoyed a dip in the whirlpool and the sauna.
