Aug. 12, 2010---Twenty foot high flood wall as seen from the river. The back side of the wall is very impressive. Well known artist Robert Dafford from Lafayette, Louisiana painted history of the Portsmouth area on the wall. There are 59 images covering about 2000 feet of wall depicting history from 1803 to 2003. Photos shown here are just a sample of the beauty of this project. It took Robert and his staff nearly 10 years to complete all the murals.
